Social Program

The social events are free of charge, but you will be asked on the registration form to indicate your attendance.


Free entrance to The Nobel Peace Center Sunday June 5, 10:00-18:00.
Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Nobel Peace Center, situated in front of Oslo City Hall and close to the conference center and the conference hotels. A ticket will be sent to all participants by email before the conference, which will allow free access to the center. Welcome.

 


Welcome Reception at Oslo City Hall, June 5, 19:00 – 20:30.

The Mayor of Oslo invites you to a Welcome reception at Oslo City Hall. The characteristic architecture, artwork and the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony makes it one of Oslo’s most famous buildings.

 

Oslo City Hall is situated in the City Centre, close to the conference venue and the main street of Oslo, Karl Johan Street. CLICK HERE FOR MAP. The Mayor of Oslo will address the conference participants, light refreshment will be served and you will have the opportunity to attend a guided tour of the building.

Dinner at The Fram Museum, June 6, 20:00. (Departure by boat at 18:30)

The Vessel Fram, used by Fridtjof Nansen on his journey across the Polar Ocean and his attempt to reach the North Pole, will be the venue for our dinner.


We will leave the harbor in front of Oslo City Hall at 18:30 by boat. The boat trip will take approx 15 minutes. During the aperitif, the museum director will tell the story of the museum and the Vessel Fram. There will be served a buffet dinner with drinks. You will have the opportunity to enter the Vessel and walk on and below deck.

A shuttle boat will take us back to Oslo City Center at 21:30 and 22:00.
